Dr. Maxwell Felix
Founder & Chancellor
A ministry rooted in scholarship
Dr. Felix holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and a Doctorate in Divinity and Philosophy. The first shaped how he communicates—across broadcast, platform and print; the second shaped what he teaches, giving him a framework for interpreting Scripture and engaging the harder theological questions honestly.
He is an author and lecturer whose work moves between practical Christian living and close biblical exegesis, and whose teaching consistently argues for the integration of faith and reason—that believers should bring their minds fully into their faith rather than leave them at the door.
From large auditoriums to remote villages
Dr. Felix has preached across more than thirty-eight nations spanning Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and the Americas—work measured less in venues than in the leaders it left behind. It is that experience of the church in many cultures that shapes how BFCU trains ministers.
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and the foundation for all teaching and practice.
Following Christ's example, we prepare leaders who serve others with humility and compassion.
